Other Activities

There is loads to do for all the family outside of the ski season. From late-June through to early autumn months, the winter ski runs are transformed into mountain biking and hiking routes. Bike hire is available in Arcs 1600 and Arcs 1800, as well as Bourg-Saint-Maurice.

Arc Aventure

Swimming

If you would rather relax in or around a swimming pool (and soak up some rays in the summer), then the two nearby options we would recommend are:

1.   The Bourg-Saint-Maurice Centre Nautique, on the opposite side of the main road to SuperU and Intermarche, offers an indoor 25-metre pool and separate paddling pool which are open all year round. The large 50-metre outdoor pool is currently being renovated to feature a fun waterpark with waterslides due to open in Summer 2020. Surrounding the outdoor pool is a large picnic and sun-bathing area, small outdoor cafe, and volleyball court.

2.  Alternatively up at Arcs 1800 resort, a relatively new Health and Spa pool complex has been built near Vagere Ski lift. This contains both a fun indoor pool for the family, with fountains and small slides.  Outside in the summer months, a large 30m pool is open with separate waterslide and sun lounge areas.

Outdoor Activity Lake

Approx 9kms down the valley towards Moutiers from Bourg-Saint-Maurice, you will find Base de Loisirs des Versants d'Aime.  In the summer months this outdoor lake has fun activities for the kids such as canoeing, paddle-boarding and floating orbs.  Around the lake there is usually a bouncy castle set-up, trampolining, a basketball court, a volleyball court, pétanque pitches and a mini-zipwire course for the younger children. A restaurant/cafe is also on the edge of the lake.
